A rack mount manifold is designed to distribute and collect coolant within a server rack liquid cooling architecture. It can connect a coolant distribution unit or primary cooling loop with multiple liquid-cooled servers, CPU cold plates, GPU cold plates, or other direct-to-chip components. The manifold can be configured with supply and return headers, multiple branch ports, isolation valves, quick disconnect couplings, sensors, and compatible fittings. Important parameters include rack mounting position, branch quantity, port size, required coolant flow, operating pressure, temperature range, pressure drop, coolant compatibility, and available installation space. A rack-mounted arrangement keeps distribution connections close to the servers, helping organize tubing and simplify maintenance. Depending on the cooling design, the manifold can support AI computing, HPC clusters, cloud infrastructure, and high-density data center racks. Its modular configuration also allows cooling branches to be added or adjusted as rack requirements change.
