A rack manifold is a coolant distribution component designed for installation within or near a server rack. It can connect a coolant distribution unit, pump, or primary liquid loop with multiple liquid-cooled servers, CPU cold plates, GPU cold plates, or other thermal management components. Depending on the cooling architecture, the manifold can include supply and return headers, multiple branch ports, isolation valves, quick disconnect couplings, sensors, and customized fittings. Important design parameters include branch quantity, total coolant flow, operating pressure, temperature range, pressure drop, port size, material compatibility, mounting position, and available rack space. By keeping distribution connections close to the IT equipment, a rack manifold can help organize tubing and simplify maintenance. It is suitable for AI servers, HPC systems, cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, and high-density data centers where compact and scalable liquid cooling distribution is required.
